ATC Fun

My first experience with Artist Trading Cards or “ATCs” was in a drawing class in college. We students were interested in learning illustration and were fortunate to have a professor who knew the industry and was willing to teach us for two terms. (J.B. is a wonderful artist and you should see her work at Jessica Burke Artist.)

Show and Tell: Hi Mom!

I meant to post this a couple of days ago on July 7th for my daughter's birthday. I was busy working and didn't get it put together in time.

This piece reminds me of a fun time when my daughter Sarah and I were visiting Tucson, Arizona in 1985. We were on Mt. Lemmon and she had fun scrambling around on the huge rock outcroppings along the path.

Independence Day!

Fred holding my flag painting

Every year, on July 4th, we Yankees in the United States celebrate the day in 1776 that we announced our escape from England's rule. (I sometimes wonder what our world would be like if we remained part of the British Empire...) Every year we gorge ourselves with hot-dogs (except me, I don't eat them,), suffer sunstroke and sunburns, watch our families fight over the BBQ, and listen as the fire engines scream down the road en-route to the latest idiot's Roman-candle accident.
