December Days: 29 Christmas Gifts

Today saw the last of the Christmas celebrations. My family gathering was this afternoon. The bad part was that so many were not there due to seasonal illness... they were missed. The good part was that it was nice to see those who were there.

I walked away from the gift exchange with the best of all... a Greek yogurt maker! I am so excited! I love Greek yogurt and now is my opportunity to make it myself. Tomorrow I buy the ingredients.

I also got this lovely little rack full of pampering things. I was excited to see the pumice stone (I needed one) and the rack will be really cool in my studio.

My Secret Santa at work gave me the most wonderful gift bag with comfy slippers, lavender and lilac body lotion, caramel corn (which I ate that night), and a book that I am really going to use. It is a devotional/journal book with affirmations and verses on each page with space to write on. I was looking for a book to begin the new year to write down the significance of each day. This was just perfect... almost as if Santa knew. Thank you Santa June!)

Even Sienna got something. Santa Claws left her a brand new laser pen light in her stocking while she napped!

The best gifts of all are spending time with those I love. Christmas day I visited with my son James and his wife Rosa. I wasn't able to see my daughter Sarah, and grandson Forest, but hope to soon. Today, after the family do, my granddaughter Athena came to visit and went to the cinema with me to see

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

I am going to finish the Christmas season with the immortal words of Tiny Tim: “God bless us everyone!”

Note: Tomorrow's post will be about a New Year's resolution and on the 31st wrap up this December Days daily project with an overview of the whole month.

    1. Thank you Donna! Your support has been valuable! I will still be posting, just not every day. It takes a lot of time and work for each one. Also I was a little worried I would overwhelm everyone.
